LAURIE TAYLOR

She might be quiet, listening to your thoughts and absorbing insights you don’t even know she’s making. She might be talkative and energetic, having you wish you could bottle her energy or pour her words out in your next presentation. She might be in front of a crowd or a group of executives. She might be bobbing through school with three little girls in tow. No matter what, she’s caring about you. Some say she’s more of a minister than a business woman. She’s certainly a leader and a mentor, with impressive public relations knowledge and skill.

Laurie Taylor starts with experience in public relations, corporate communications and marketing gleaned from her work with a variety of organizations and then she researches, reads and studies everything from psychology to business to art, giving her an expertise beyond her years. She now partners with a group of niche experts to most efficiently and effectively exceed client expectations. Because of the way Beacon PR has evolved and continues to evolve, her partnership with clients is unique. She sees herself as part of the company; not the technically outsourced PR arm or hired-out seminar leader that she and her team have now become.

Her loyalty, availability, passion and care command a great level of respect and yield powerful results. She uses experience and industry exposure from American Red Cross; Fleishman Hillard; Littlefield, Inc.; Baird, Kurtz & Dobson; OSU Career Services; Fluid Technologies; Jameson Management, Inc.; and more as she now focuses on promoting clients' events, products and services through a variety of mediums and strategies. You might see her directing a photo shoot; conducting an off-camera interview for a video; training Board members or employees on a new initiative; or leading a workshop audience to light-hearted laughs and deep challenges. Behind the scenes, she’s writing, strategizing, planning and implementing a variety of initiatives from broadcast to print to online to personal. “When she gets involved, things move down the right path with a new sense of clarity, direction and even enthusiasm – which I hadn’t thought possible,” one client said.

A Journalism & Broadcasting/Public Relations graduate from Oklahoma State University, Laurie is now mother to three. Her family is involved with Sunnybrook Christian Church. Laurie is also active with Leadership Stillwater and United Way. She has won a variety of awards from Best Use of Original Photography in a national design competition to Excellence in Communication for year-round strategic marketing.
