Jordan Ihrig
marketing and PR strategist, project manager

Jordan Ihrig helps all priorities stay on track until the end goal is accomplished, offering strategic planning and writing expertise each step of the way. She loves doing comprehensive campaigns incorporating public relations, marketing, advertising and operational development into one strategy. She believes all business aspects have to work together from the beginning to the end to completely change not only the public’s perception of a business but the employee’s perception of their own careers. How people feel about their workplace and how they feel when they are part of something the public is interested in develops a pride about where they work that in turn results in an even more positive public image. Having coordinated an internal communications program for several years, this became Ihrig’s passion for helping the world understand how human resources, internal communications, operations and PR all go hand in hand.

Ihrig remembers Chuck Schnake describing public relations or marketing in an inspiring way. That evolved into her own definition which stems from a valley/mountain analogy. The pro to hiring an agency to help you with your PR is simple. You’re so mired down in the details about the business making your service or providing your product. You end up in a valley all your own doing what you do best. It’s our job to get on the mountain, above the valley where you’re functioning, and see the next opportunities. You can’t always understand the way the public perceives your product or service or organization because you’re living it; you’re too deep to see it like the rest of the world sees it. It’s the job of a good PR firm to help you see that public perception and to bring you together with your ideal audience.

In just three and a half years, she graduated with a perfect grade point average, earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism/mass communications with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in business. She most recently worked at INTEGRIS as the director of public relations and marketing for Blackwell Regional Hospital. She has also worked for Oklahoma State University Foundation as a donor relations coordinator and has worked in public relations client support and strategic implementation roles for Saxum Strategic Communications and Schnake Turnbo Frank.

She and her husband, Drew, live in Stillwater and are active at Sunnybrook Christian Church. She has competed marathons including New York City Marathon and Walt Disney World Marathon.
